Staycation lodges in North Wales
Whatever the weather or the season, there’s so much to discover in North Wales. Whether you're looking for epic mountain adventures, relaxing coastal walks, fascinating heritage, or new mountain bike trails to explore, it is the perfect destination for your next holiday escape.
The area
RWST [Roost]
RWST takes its name from Llanrwst, the Conwy Valley town that is our home. An historic Welsh market town, it is flanked by the Carneddau foothills to the north, and the Snowdonia mountains to the south. It is unquestionably epic landscape territory.
Some of the region’s most popular attractions are on our doorstep, including Zip World, Adventure Parc Snowdonia, and the Marin Trail. Head a little further afield to explore Snowdon, Bounce Below, Coed y Brenin, and Antur Stiniog downhill mountain biking. There’s plenty to explore at a gentler pace too. Just twelve miles from the coast, we’re close to some beautiful beachside walks, and the popular seaside towns of Conwy and Llandudno. Snowdonia is sometimes described as the Welsh Lake District, and you’ll find plenty of them on our doorstep too. Ideal if you like a spot of wild swimming on your holidays.
Epic landscapes, big adventures, and a captivating history
We consider ourselves extremely lucky to make our home in Llanrwst, at the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. It’s a straight-up-stunning part of the world, which is one of the reasons it is consistently voted as one of the top regions in the world to explore.
