The steam hauled train begins its journey in the nearby town of Llanberis, taking visitors to the summit of Snowdon in about an hour and a half. This is the ideal way to experience the journey with children or those who are less able.
Bala Lake / Llyn Tegid

Bala Lake in Gwynedd is the largest freshwater lake in Wales, measuring 3.7 miles in length - whether you’re a sailor, wild swimmer, or fancy a spot of fishing this is the lake for you.
Whilst there, keep an eye out for ‘Teggie’, Wales’ very own Loch Ness monster…
Why not try white water rafting at the National White Water Rafting Centre on the nearby Tryweryn river?
Aber Falls & Aber Falls Distillery

Another amazing sight to see is Aber Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls in Wales, and a real hidden gem. Located close to the village of Abergwyngregyn, just off the A55, the waterfall is formed as the Afon Goch falls from a height of 120 feet from the Carneddau mountains as the river winds its way to the North Wales coast.
After the walk, why not head over to Aber Falls Distillery for some award-winning gins and whiskies.
Zip World (multiple sites)

A visit to the Adventure Capital of Europe wouldn’t really be complete without a visit to one of Zip World’s three adventure activity hubs.
To the south, Zip World Llechwedd features Europe’s longest combined zip zone and the world’s only underground trampoline park AND underground crazy golf course.
Head east to Penrhyn Quarry and you’ll find Velocity - the world’s fastest single line zip, where you can reach speeds of up to 80 miles per hour!
And lastly, just 5 minutes from RWST is Fforest - an adventure playground located in woodlands just outside Llanrwst, featuring an alpine coaster, treetop assault course and many other activities.
