You’ll find our beautiful holiday lodge park in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales. We’re at the southern end of the Conwy Valley, where the grassy whalebacks of the Carneddau mountains run into the gnarly peaks of the Snowdon Massif.
Whichever way you look, we’re surrounded by beautiful, timeless landscapes. If you like a bit of epic scenery on your holidays, we’re think you’re going to like it.
In fact, we’d go so far as to say that Rwst is the ideal destination for anyone who enjoys the beauty and boundless potential of the Great Outdoors. With easy access to those majestic mountains, and a stunning 250-mile coastline just a short drive away (we’re just 14 miles from the nearest beach), we’re perfectly placed for exploring some of the most beautiful land and seascapes in the UK.
Snowdonia is the adventure capital of Europe, and some of the region’s most popular adventure attractions – including Zip World, Adventure Parc Snowdonia, Antur Stiniog, Penmachno, and the Marin Trail – are on our doorstep. We’re 14 miles from Pen y Pass, the start point for some of the most popular routes up Yr Wyddfa / Snowdon.
Rwst [roost] takes its name from Llanrwst, the Conwy Valley town that is our home. A handsome and historic market town, it is home to one of the most-photographed places in North Wales – the Virginia creeper-clad Tu Hwnt i’r Bont tearooms. It’s pretty picture perfect. The focal point of town is a three-arched stone bridge, thought to have been designed by the famed 16th century architect Inigo Jones. If you cross the bridge, it’s just a short walk to Gwydir Castle, a beautiful Tudor manor house with historic Grade 1 listed gardens.
Llanrwst is great for a bit of independent shopping. It’s home to some great artisan producers (stock up on locally produced food and treats at the Blas ar Fwyd deli and the excellent Health & Food grocery), antique shops, and independent retailers, as well as a weekly market which you’ll find in the village square every Tuesday. We’re just 4 miles from the lovely mountain village of Betws y Coed, 12 miles from the harbour town of Conwy with its magnificent medieval castle and town walls, and 15 miles from the seaside resort of Llandudno.
